Assistant/Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities

• Deliver graduate-level courses, including developing syllabi, learning objectives, and assessments in alignment with ACOTE standards
• Provide student support through weekly office hours, academic advising, and supervision of capstone projects
• Engage in active research and scholarly activities to contribute to the field of occupational therapy
• Participate in program and university service, including committee meetings, curriculum development, and program evaluation
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators on ACOTE accreditation activities and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Terminal doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
• Current New Jersey occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure
• NBCOT certification or eligibility for certification
• Experience teaching graduate-level courses
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical experience in adult, geriatric, upper extremity, or community-based settings
• Demonstrated evidence of research/scholarly achievement and the ability to deliver research curriculum
• Experience teaching in interprofessional courses
