About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver graduate-level courses, including developing syllabi, learning objectives, and assessments in alignment with ACOTE standards
- Provide student support through weekly office hours, academic advising, and supervision of capstone projects
- Engage in active research and scholarly activities to contribute to the field of occupational therapy
- Participate in program and university service, including committee meetings, curriculum development, and program evaluation
- Collaborate with faculty and administrators on ACOTE accreditation activities and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Terminal doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
- Current New Jersey occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure
- NBCOT certification or eligibility for certification
- Experience teaching graduate-level courses
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical experience in adult, geriatric, upper extremity, or community-based settings
- Demonstrated evidence of research/scholarly achievement and the ability to deliver research curriculum
- Experience teaching in interprofessional courses
