Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing (PMHNP or FNP)

Responsibilities

• Effectively teach assigned courses in the psychiatric mental health or family nurse practitioner graduate programs
• Coordinate course activities for didactic, hybrid, lab, simulation, and clinical components
• Supervise and instruct students in lab and clinical settings
• Collaborate with course faculty and program coordinators to ensure continuity of program outcomes
• Participate in School of Nursing committees, faculty assembly meetings, and university service
• Advise students and participate in school activities such as pinning, graduation, and orientation

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP); ABD candidates will be considered if the degree is completed by the appointment date
• At least one graduate or doctoral degree in nursing
• Unencumbered or eligible for endorsement of an RN license in Washington State
• Unencumbered ARNP license in Washington State (PMHNP or FNP)
• 1 or more years of clinical experience in a related area
• A record of scholarly productivity or demonstrated capacity for a strong scholarly trajectory
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in nursing education
• Specialty certification
