About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach the LMU-DCOM approved curriculum through lectures, seminars, small group discussions, and clinical assignments
- Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of academic programs and courses
- Provide clinical service, patient care, and bedside teaching for students in a clinical setting
- Design and present integrated lecture series and prepare examination questions
- Mentor medical students and supervise them during clinical educational activities and community outreach programs
- Participate in scholarly activity, clinic quality assurance, and departmental service
- Attend scheduled faculty meetings and serve on appointed or elected committees
Requirements
- D.O. or M.D. degree
- Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, or OMM
- Ability to obtain Tennessee medical licensure within the first year of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- D.O. degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical or academic medicine teaching and leadership
- Academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience
