About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach a 4/4 course load, typically including freshman composition and literature survey or upper-level literature courses
- Develop syllabi, assessments, and course materials in alignment with institutional guidelines
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students to support their academic success
- Engage in scholarly research and contribute to curriculum development and program assessment
- Participate in departmental, divisional, and institutional meetings and service activities
- Utilize diverse teaching methods and pedagogy to enhance student learning outcomes
Requirements
- Ph.D. in English, Literature, Writing, or a related discipline
- Successful college-level teaching experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of literature and writing pedagogy

- A proven record of successful teaching experience at the college level
