Assistant/Associate Professor - Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering
• Advise, encourage, and inspire undergraduate and graduate students
• Conduct research and submit highly competitive proposals in your area of specialization
• Engage students in hands-on, practical applications of engineering theory
• Communicate effectively with a diverse student and faculty population
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to contribute to the advancement of the department, college, and university

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
• Specialization in Mechatronics, Robotics, Controls, or Mechanics
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Effective use of contemporary technology in engineering and engineering education

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in Advanced Manufacturing
• Ability to teach a broad range of allied Mechanical Engineering courses
