Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering
- Advise, encourage, and inspire undergraduate and graduate students
- Conduct research and submit highly competitive proposals in your area of specialization
- Engage students in hands-on, practical applications of engineering theory
- Communicate effectively with a diverse student and faculty population
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff to contribute to the advancement of the department, college, and university
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
- Specialization in Mechatronics, Robotics, Controls, or Mechanics
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective use of contemporary technology in engineering and engineering education
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Advanced Manufacturing
- Ability to teach a broad range of allied Mechanical Engineering courses
