About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach various accounting courses including Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Federal Income Tax, Government Accounting, and Auditing.
- Conduct academic research and publish findings in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Analytics publications.
- Provide students with internship opportunities through external organizations such as NABA.
- Guide students through modern business models, blockchain, and other evolving industry environments.
- Prepare Accounting majors for the CPA Exam and introduce them to various industry strategies.
- Participate in university functions, including convocations and annual commencement exercises.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting or a related field.
- Degree from an AACSB accredited institution.
- Proven capability for academic research and publication.
- Ability to teach on-site at Tuskegee University.
- Understanding of the unique needs of educating underserved students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scholarly Academic (SA) status for AACSB standards.
- Experience in Accounting and Auditing Sales.
