About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects to drive philanthropic giving, sponsorships, and strategic engagement.
  • Secure new and renewed funding through grants, sponsorships for major University programs, and philanthropic partnerships.
  • Develop individualized engagement strategies, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to connect partners with experiential learning, internships, and research opportunities.
  • Lead proposal and grant development by engaging subject-matter experts to create compelling narratives and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM, including contact management, proposal tracking, and pipeline forecasting.
  • Plan and host high-visibility corporate and foundation events to ensure timely engagement with partners.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of experience in corporate and foundation fundraising, grant writing, or sponsorship development.
  • Proven success in identifying, securing, and stewarding significant gifts or grants.
  • Strong writing, organization, and project management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM databases and data-driven tools for prospecting and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with executives and foundation officers.
  • Ability to travel and work non-standard hours as required for events and engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a higher education environment.
  • Experience managing corporate partnerships and grant compliance/reporting.
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and technologies to drive fundraising results.
