Assistant/Associate Clinical Gastroenterologist

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, specialized patient care with consistently excellent outcomes.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support their professional development and growth.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, including quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
• Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and maintain relevant advanced certifications.
• Serve as a trusted resource for complex cases and high-acuity patients.
• Achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction scores and meet productivity targets.
• For Associate Clinical level: Lead clinical workflow improvements, oversee clinical teams, and act as a liaison between clinical staff and leadership.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
• Board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Current New York State Medical License.
• For Assistant Clinical level: 0-5 years post-training experience.
• For Associate Clinical level: 5-10 years post-training experience.
• Ability to complete medical clearance and participate in the medical surveillance program.
