Assistant Wrestling Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the Doane wrestling team based on ethical values and a culture of compliance
• Ensure adherence to all GPAC and NAIA rules and regulations
• Recruit and retain student-athletes to grow the wrestling program
• Supervise and develop student workers and assistant coaches
• Plan and schedule training sessions and competitions
• Represent Doane University in a positive and effective manner

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Two years of college-level playing or coaching experience
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage a wrestling program
• Excellent knowledge of the sport and ability to teach diverse athletes
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
