Assistant Wrestling Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the Doane wrestling team based on ethical values and a culture of compliance with GPAC and NAIA regulations
• Recruit and retain student-athletes to grow and strengthen the wrestling program
• Teach wrestling techniques and adapt coaching methods to accommodate diverse athlete needs
• Supervise and develop student workers and assistant coaches
• Plan and schedule training sessions and competitions
• Represent Doane University in a positive and professional manner

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Two years of college-level playing or coaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage a wrestling program
• Strong recruitment and organizational skills
• Excellent knowledge of the sport of wrestling
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
