Assistant Wrestling Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching the Doane wrestling team with a focus on ethical values and a culture of compliance (GPAC and NAIA).
• Recruit and retain student-athletes to build a competitive program.
• Teach wrestling techniques and adapt coaching methods to accommodate diverse athlete needs.
• Supervise and develop student workers and assistant coaches.
• Plan and schedule training sessions and competitions.
• Represent Doane University in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Two years of college-level playing or coaching experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and effective recruitment skills.
• Strong organizational and teaching abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of the sport of wrestling.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the college’s insurance provider.
