Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide on-court instruction, assist with practice planning, weekly scouting, and game-day adjustments
• Lead out-of-season workouts and develop individualized player development plans
• Manage recruiting activities, including on/off campus visits and building relationships with prospects and coaches
• Support student-athlete academic success, retention, and progress toward degrees
• Coordinate team logistics, including travel, lodging, equipment, and game-day appearance standards
• Review game film, prepare scouting reports, and track performance metrics and statistics
• Collaborate with University Communications to manage social media presence and digital content
• Maintain full compliance with NCAA, CIAA, and JCSU rules and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer applications and general office software
• Thorough knowledge of the game of basketball and NCAA rules
• Ability to travel significantly for recruiting and games
• CPR Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
