About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in developing, planning, and implementing practice sessions and game strategies
  • Recruit prospective student-athletes through on-campus visits, travel, and regular communication
  • Mentor and support student-athletes in both athletic and personal development
  • Coordinate video breakdown and analysis for scouting, game preparation, and player feedback
  • Monitor academic progress of student-athletes in collaboration with academic advisors
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of NCAA, Conference, and LIU policies to ensure full program compliance
  • Assist with team travel logistics, budgeting, equipment management, and other administrative duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1–3 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, preferably NCAA Division I
  • Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and player development
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
