Assistant Warehouse Manager/Shift Leader

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of up to 30 employees per shift
• Act as the deputy for the Hub Manager, supporting daily operations and personnel planning
• Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of new team members
• Implement, analyze, and optimize warehouse processes to ensure efficient workflows
• Take responsibility for daily inventory control, stock management, and order picking
• Monitor and ensure compliance with food hygiene and quality standards (HACCP)
• Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining a hands-on approach in daily operations

Requirements

• Proactive communicator with strong decision-making skills and a solution-oriented mindset
• Proven ability to motivate a team and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure
• Hands-on mentality with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work regular late shifts and weekends
• Proficiency in both German and English
• Comfortable using modern technological solutions and digital tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in leadership roles within retail, gastronomy, or logistics
• Background in food retail or warehouse management
