Assistant Warehouse Manager/Shift Leader

Responsibilities

• Manage up to 30 employees per shift and act as a deputy for the Hub Manager
• Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of new team members
• Implement, analyze, and optimize warehouse processes to ensure efficient operations
• Delegate tasks while actively participating in daily hands-on operations
• Take responsibility for daily inventory control, stock management, and order picking
• Manage personnel scheduling and planning under the guidance of the Hub Manager
• Monitor and enforce food hygiene and quality standards (HACCP)

Requirements

• Proactive communicator with strong decision-making skills and a solution-oriented mindset
• Proven team player with the ability to motivate others and maintain a cool head under pressure
• Hands-on mentality with a willingness to lead by example in daily tasks
• High level of flexibility, including availability for late shifts and weekend work
• Proficiency in both German and English
• Comfortable using modern technological solutions and tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in food retail, gastronomy, or logistics
• Prior experience in team leadership or personnel management
