Assistant Waiter/ess

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality meals and provide support for food and beverage services in assigned areas
• Set up and maintain self-service buffet areas and ensure mise-en-place is ready prior to service
• Serve beverages and maintain service quality standards in accordance with Viking’s STAR Service Standards
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are clean, well-maintained, and compliant with Public Health Regulations
• Provide a high level of comfort and sales-oriented service to guests while maintaining impeccable grooming standards
• Demonstrate flexibility to work various times of the day and under pressure with a positive attitude

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a restaurant attendant in a 5-star hospitality or fine dining environment
• Valid food handling certification and alcohol certification
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of an intense shipboard role, including standing, kneeling, and carrying heavy items for prolonged periods
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous shipboard experience
• Knowledge of wine
