About the role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in coaching during practices and games, providing constructive feedback and instruction
  • Work closely with student-athletes to develop skills, improve performance, and foster team unity
  • Contribute to strategy development for both individual players and team play
  • Assist the Head Coach in day-to-day operations, including practice planning, game preparation, and team management
  • Assist in recruiting qualified student-athletes to join the men's volleyball program
  • Collaborate with the athletic department to ensure the academic success and well-being of student-athletes
  • Ensure compliance with NAIA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations
  • Support team travel logistics, including organizing transportation and accommodations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Previous experience as a volleyball coach, preferably at the collegiate level
  • Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and player development
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations

Benefits

  • 10-month position (August through May)
  • Salary of $20,000 plus housing
  • Excellent benefits package including tuition remission
