Assistant Volleyball Coach

Responsibilities

• Serve as assistant volleyball coach with specific duties assigned by the head coach
• Attend practices, competitions, meetings, and planning sessions
• Assist in the administration, management, and recruitment of the volleyball program
• Support the holistic development and student-athlete experience
• Adhere to all Luther College, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
• Assist with game day management and athletic department event operations
• Fulfill residence life duties, including serving on the on-call team for emergencies
• Support community development and student engagement within the residence hall system

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Ability to live on campus as part of the residence life requirement
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to cultivate inclusive and equitable relationships with students, faculty, and staff
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• 1–3 years of successful high school or college volleyball coaching experience
• Experience with recruiting platforms, CRMs, or admissions collaboration
