About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Kinesiology and related areas, including Health Education, Adapted Physical Education, and Online Wellness
- Deliver general education courses in alignment with the College’s core curriculum
- Maintain a full-time teaching load (3-3)
- Engage in scholarly research and contribute to the academic field
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds
- Participate in institutional service and support the College’s mission of leadership and service
Requirements
- Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Kinesiology or a closely related field (Ph.D. candidates with a Master's in Kinesiology will be considered)
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level
- Evidence of an emerging or established scholarly research agenda in Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related fields
- Strong commitment to mentoring undergraduate students
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) specifically in Kinesiology
