Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal deputy to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies, providing strategic support and executive oversight.
• Manage the Office of Student Transition (OST), including Academic Advising, New Student Orientation, and Learning Communities.
• Drive digital transformation by researching and implementing AI tools, predictive analytics, and student success platforms.
• Oversee undergraduate retention and graduation systems to close achievement gaps and optimize student outcomes.
• Develop and manage articulation agreements and transfer pathways with community colleges and external partners.
• Supervise, recruit, and evaluate leadership and staff within the Office of Student Transition.
• Manage annual budgets for the OST and report financial outcomes to the Vice Provost.

Requirements

• Master's degree required (Doctorate or terminal degree highly preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in higher education administration.
• Proven experience in staff supervision and operational management of multifaceted departments.
• Demonstrated experience with educational technology, including generative AI and student success platforms.
• Proficiency in data analytics to inform decision-making and analyze student cohorts.
• Experience in budget management and strategic planning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing articulation agreements and managing transfer pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives in a higher education context.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building consensus across academic and administrative units.
