Assistant Vice President Transaction Monitoring Analyst

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement statistical, mathematical, and machine learning models to support fraud detection and credit risk assessment.
• Acquire and collect data from internal databases, external datasets, and real-time feeds.
• Perform data cleaning and pre-processing to ensure high data quality for model development.
• Monitor model performance in real-time to identify potential issues or biases.
• Lead training and mentoring sessions to uplift machine learning capabilities across the organization.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies and frameworks to maintain leadership in AI innovation.
• Advise and influence decision-making while contributing to policy development and operational effectiveness.
• Manage risk and strengthen controls related to transaction monitoring and financial crime.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong expertise in data analytics and dashboard creation.
• Hands-on experience in transaction monitoring and financial crime analytics.
• Ability to prepare and present complex reports and risk outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
• Strong background in mathematics or statistics, including probability and machine learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of risk coverage related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
• Familiarity with the current regulatory landscape within financial crime compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of AI and machine learning applications.
