Assistant Vice President - Payroll & Compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll administration, including input collation, vendor submission, reconciliations, and salary disbursement
• Ensure timely processing of statutory payments, taxation, and payroll reporting
• Handle quarterly and annual statutory filings and Form 16 issuance
• Collaborate with Finance teams to prepare Salary Journal Vouchers and manage funding requests
• Manage labor law compliance, including S&E certification and CLRA compliance
• Oversee retiral processes such as Provident Fund, Pension, and Gratuity
• Support internal and external audits to ensure documentation and compliance readiness
• Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports using Workday

Requirements

• 7–8 years of experience in payroll processing and HR operations
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and labor laws
• Proficiency in Workday, including operational workflows and process management
• Experience with statutory filings, audits, and retiral management
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
