Assistant Vice President of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end engineering strategy, roadmap, and execution for the BLive Mobility platform
• Architect and build a scalable, modular, multi-tenant SaaS platform integrating Fleet, Charging, Driver, and Carbon modules
• Lead by example through coding, architecture design, and code reviews
• Manage system scalability, availability, and cost optimization on AWS Cloud
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team including Frontend, Backend, DevOps, and QA
• Drive adoption of AI/ML for predictive analytics, route optimization, and carbon insights

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and engineering leadership
• Proven track record in building or scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Deep expertise in Node.js, NestJS, React.js, NextJS, microservices, and AWS Cloud Architecture
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), containerization, and IaC (Terraform/Ansible)
• Strong understanding of event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS, SNS) and cloud observability (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Proficiency in Flutter and React for modern frontend architecture
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Proven experience in database migration and monolith-to-microservices transformation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Prior experience in EV mobility, fleet tech, logistics, or IoT platforms
• Familiarity with AI/ML integrations, telematics data, or carbon analytics
