About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for centralized fundraising functions, including Gift Planning, Corporate and Foundation Relations, and Athletics fundraising.
  • Develop and implement coordinated fundraising strategies to advance university-wide priorities and strengthen the major and principal gift pipeline.
  • Lead and manage professional teams, providing direction, coaching, and accountability for performance.
  • Maintain and actively manage a personal portfolio of major and principal gift prospects.
  • Partner with university leadership, deans, and academic leaders to cultivate and secure significant philanthropic investments.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to fundraising activity and revenue outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in higher education fundraising or a related field.
  • 8+ years of higher education advancement experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in increasingly responsible management roles.
  • Demonstrated success in securing six- and seven-figure philanthropic commitments.
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of high-capacity prospects and donors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
