Assistant Vice President - Financial Crimes Auditor

Responsibilities

• Act as Auditor-In-Charge or Team Member for financial crimes and core compliance audits across the Asia-Pacific region
• Lead and conduct interviews with process and control owners to understand business processes and controls
• Identify potential risks within the span of control and across the enterprise
• Assist in developing audit scope, work programs, and evaluating internal control design and effectiveness
• Identify control weaknesses, suggest appropriate remediation, and document results in the workpaper system
• Assign and review the work of audit team members in coordination with the Audit Director
• Maintain compliance with audit methodology, industry best practices, and applicable regulations
• Build and manage productive, respectful, and trusted relationships with internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of audit experience, including expertise in financial crimes (AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, and Corruption)
• Experience within financial institutions, related markets, regulatory bodies, or Big 4 professional services firms
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, audit methodology, and audit execution
• Proficiency in MS Office and audit data analytics
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Degree qualification
• Ability to travel regionally as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification in accountancy or auditing (CIA, CA, or CPA)
• Relevant certification in Financial Crimes (e.g., CAMS)
