Assistant Vice President, Deal Structure Accounting

Responsibilities

• Ensure investment legal entities are accounted for according to governing legal and tax documents
• Review and analyze deal structure charts and translate them into accounting systems of record
• Coordinate with US and India teams, Cash Operations, and Fund Accounting to ensure appropriate investment funding allocations
• Review calculations of allocations by partner class and identify entity-specific expenses
• Review semi-annual books for investment legal entities, including trial balance reconciliations and ownership splits
• Coordinate with internal Tax groups and external preparers to support tax filings and reporting
• Monitor, reconcile, and report on blocker notes or third-party debt within deal structures
• Provide oversight and training to the India Deal Structure Accounting team and external vendors
• Assist in building out the Hyderabad team through hiring and defining operational approaches

Requirements

• 10-12 years of relevant experience in public or private accounting or tax
• Strong knowledge of private credit or private equity fund strategies and investments
• Familiarity with tiered partnership structures and basic legal entity/LP-level tax considerations
• Bachelor's degree required
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tiered partnership taxation
• Experience using Geneva/GWI
