Assistant Vice President, Closed-end Fund Accounting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain books and records for pooled private investment funds and separate accounts
• Perform accounting and reconciliation for cash, investments, and real property
• Record and reconcile purchase and sale transactions and account for complex corporate actions
• Estimate and post monthly closing accruals
• Calculate income and expense allocations, including updating distribution waterfalls based on governing documents
• Determine and prepare distributions and draw-downs
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients
• Analyze and calculate performance metrics for partnerships, accounts, and individual investments
• Coordinate with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators

Requirements

• 10-12 years of relevant accounting or audit experience
• Mix of Big Four public accounting and investment management industry experience
• Strong knowledge of reconciliation, account analysis, and investment company accounting rules
• Experience with back leverage facility/financing structures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Knowledge of Geneva/GWI and Investran
