About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of the University’s multi-year financial plan and annual operating budgets.
- Conduct scenario modeling, trend analysis, and long-range financial forecasting to support executive decision-making.
- Direct daily operations of the University Budget Department, including supervision, training, and performance management of staff.
- Oversee budget and financial planning systems to ensure operational accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Formulate and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to the President, Board of Trustees, and executive leadership.
- Monitor budget performance, manage institutional funds and reserves, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Partner with academic and administrative units to support institutional priorities through data-informed resource allocation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10 years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, or financial reporting.
- 6 years of experience in a leadership role within the field of finance.
- Proven experience working with ERP or enterprise financial systems.
- Strong ability to analyze, synthesize, and present complex financial data to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience managing budget planning and administrative operations for a university or complex organization.
- Experience leading software implementation projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
