Assistant Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply underwriting appetite and guidelines to mitigate risk
• Support underwriters with endorsements, tasks, renewals, applications, and quotes
• Provide timely support to internal and external agents regarding time-sensitive requests
• Process work across internal systems including Salesforce
• Troubleshoot complex customer service and underwriting issues such as billing and inspections
• Maintain high standards of accuracy in documenting underwriting files

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain professional and diplomatic under pressure
• Tech-savviness and ability to learn new software systems quickly
• Ability to manage a heavy workload with minimal oversight
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
