About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in alignment with the center's philosophy and goals
- Implement activities that encourage emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
- Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
- Establish professional rapport with families to provide high-quality care
- Take direction and constructive feedback to improve program quality
- Perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Completion of early childhood education credentials, EDU 119, or relevant coursework
- Experience working in the early childhood education field
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting
