Assistant Track & Field Coach

Responsibilities

• Serve as assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track and field programs with specific duties assigned by the head coach
• Attend practices, competitions, meetings, and planning sessions
• Assist the head coach in the administration and management of the track and field programs
• Actively participate in the recruitment of student-athletes
• Support the holistic development and positive student-athlete experience
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and hosting of home competitions and related events
• Adhere to all rules, policies, and regulations established by Luther College, the Midwest Conference, and the NCAA

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel as required
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and supplies

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of successful high school or college track and field coaching experience
• Experience with recruiting platforms, CRMs, or admissions collaboration
• Ability to cultivate inclusive and equitable relationships with students, faculty, staff, and alumni
