Assistant Track & Field Coach II

Responsibilities

• Serve as an assistant coach, conducting scheduled practice and workout sessions and assisting in the development of game plans.
• Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes to meet University admission and enrollment goals.
• Ensure strict compliance with University, NCAA, and SCIAC rules and regulations.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress to ensure eligibility and support overall success.
• Assist in the management and administration of the sports program, including summer sports camps and event coordination.
• Perform game management duties such as facility setup, crowd control, and acting as a liaison for visiting teams and officials.
• Promote the athletic program through community engagement, fundraising, and marketing efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, sports management, or a related field.
• Two years of collegiate-level coaching and recruiting experience.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Ability to obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Accomplished Division III coaching background.
• Proven ability to recruit and retain high-performing student-athletes.
• Experience coaching within the SCIAC or at the Division III level.
• Strong commitment to the values and standards of NCAA Division III athletics and a liberal arts environment.
