About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the horizontal jumps program, including practice planning and implementation.
- Oversee daily operations, programming, and student staffing of the Student Recreation Center (SRC).
- Identify, evaluate, and recruit student-athletes who excel athletically, academically, and personally.
- Mentor student-athletes to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically within a Christ-centered community.
- Assist the Head Coach with game preparation, program logistics, and alignment with MIAC and NCAA policies.
- Collaborate with campus partners to support wellness initiatives and recreational programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1+ years of NCAA coaching experience OR 3+ years of High School coaching experience in Track and Field.
- Demonstrated commitment to a Christ-centered mission and the ability to serve as a minister of the gospel.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, particularly during the peak season from January through May.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- 3+ years of experience coaching Track and Field at the NCAA level.
- Experience as a highly competitive student-athlete.
