Assistant Toddler Teacher

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the center's philosophy and goals
• Implement activities that encourage growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
• Establish a professional level of rapport with families to provide quality care
• Take direction and constructive feedback to improve program quality
• Perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Completion of early childhood education credentials or 6 credits of early childhood education courses (or equivalent)
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work the required shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in childcare
