About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level, confidential administrative support to the Vice Provost of Student Affairs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituents
- Lead, manage, and advance strategic projects for the department and the Student Affairs Division
- Research, prioritize, and follow up on sensitive issues and concerns addressed to the Vice Provost
- Manage office operations, including event coordination, project planning, and strategic planning
- Analyze and summarize information for reports and maintain open communication across the university
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of experience managing administrative support
- Proficiency in office software, including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedures within a complex academic institution or similar organization
- Experience in personnel administration
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional work experience in a higher education environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-volume office setting
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of constituents, including students, faculty, and alumni
- Experience providing support to senior leadership roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail
