About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level, confidential administrative support to the Vice Provost of Student Affairs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituents
  • Lead, manage, and advance strategic projects for the department and the Student Affairs Division
  • Research, prioritize, and follow up on sensitive issues and concerns addressed to the Vice Provost
  • Manage office operations, including event coordination, project planning, and strategic planning
  • Analyze and summarize information for reports and maintain open communication across the university

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of experience managing administrative support
  • Proficiency in office software, including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedures within a complex academic institution or similar organization
  • Experience in personnel administration
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional work experience in a higher education environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-volume office setting
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of constituents, including students, faculty, and alumni
  • Experience providing support to senior leadership roles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail
