About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Office of the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations.
- Act as a strategic partner and liaison between the Vice President and internal/external constituents, including the Office of the President, donors, and alumni.
- Manage complex calendars, travel arrangements, and meeting itineraries for the Vice President and Senior Associate Vice President.
- Lead project management efforts for large capital projects and major gift fundraising initiatives.
- Create, edit, and oversee the production of confidential executive correspondence, reports, and Board of Trustees materials.
- Support the Vice President’s fundraising portfolio by coordinating donor meetings and tracking contact reports and proposals.
- Plan and coordinate departmental retreats, receptions, and other office-sponsored activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Four years of experience providing executive support in a complex environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Strong written and oral communication skills with experience in professional editing.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, critical thinking, and discretion with confidential information.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, alumni relations, marketing, or public relations.
- Previous experience supporting C-level executives.
- Knowledge of University programs, policies, and procedures.
- Supervisory experience.
