About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate business activities and provide general administrative support for the Southeast Region Office of the LSU Agricultural Center.
- Manage fiscal duties including budget management, financial records, accounting transactions, and purchasing.
- Oversee grants, gifts, and contracts involving state, federal, local, and foundation funds.
- Handle Human Resources transactions such as cost share determinations, salary allocations, and expense reports.
- Provide general administrative support including reception, record-keeping, correspondence, and meeting/event preparation.
- Assist with inventory, policy updates, and maintaining the regional directory and website.
- Serve as a liaison with central business and administrative offices to ensure policy compliance.
- Provide technical guidance to parish chairs, resident coordinators, and administrative support staff.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in a business field.
- Minimum of two years of related professional experience.
- Strong fiscal management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and electronic).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday, Quicken, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Adobe, or Canva.
- Knowledge of Louisiana state rules, regulations, and procurement procedures.
- Familiarity with higher education or Louisiana State government functions.
- Experience with accounting principles, billing, and receivables.
