About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the confidential assistant to the Dean of the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Dean’s Office
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Dean and internal and external constituencies
- Participate as a member of the VCEA Dean’s Leadership Team, providing input on policy and procedural matters
- Assist Associate Deans, School Directors, and Department Chairs with requests involving sensitive and confidential information
- Handle multiple incoming issues, concerns, and administrative duties, including faculty and staff support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of experience managing administrative support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, OneDrive, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects, and solve problems with flexibility
- Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse constituencies
