Assistant Terminal Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of cement terminal operations, including cement reception and delivery via rail, truck, and/or barge
• Implement and oversee CEMEX Health and Safety management systems and processes
• Ensure terminal operations comply with all state and federal safety and environmental standards
• Manage costs and inventories to prevent stock outs or demurrage
• Plan and implement strategies to maximize production and reduce operational costs
• Partner with the Terminal Manager to develop and manage the terminal budget
• Drive process improvements and manage plant staffing to ensure operational efficiency
• Foster teamwork, open communication, and cooperation across functional boundaries

Requirements

• Previous experience supervising front-line employees
• Experience handling and interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of cement terminal experience
• Bachelor's degree
