Assistant Technician, Construction

Responsibilities

• Support field investigations, inspections, and construction monitoring activities for municipal and infrastructure projects.
• Perform materials testing, including soil, asphalt, and concrete, to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Document field observations accurately and prepare data-driven daily reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and construction teams to resolve on-site challenges.
• Apply WSP safety standards and contribute to a strong culture of safe field practices.
• Assist with quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in construction, materials testing, or field inspection.
• Ability to work outdoors and on active construction sites in various environmental conditions.
• Proficiency with construction testing tools and equipment (e.g., compaction testing tools, concrete testing equipment).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precise documentation.
