Assistant Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee stage and technical management for all shows and events
• Supervise back-of-house teams and freelance employees to ensure smooth live performances
• Act as the primary point of contact for advancing and technical fulfillment for incoming productions
• Support recruitment and rota management for technical crew
• Drive compliance with Health & Safety regulations and conduct pre-show safety briefings
• Assist the Technical Manager with departmental financial budgeting
• Maintain the company asset register and ensure all technical equipment is maintained to high standards
• Supervise service regimes, PAT testing, and technical maintenance inspections

Requirements

• Proven experience in stage, touring, or production management
• Expertise in event production and interpreting technical riders
• Competence in sound, lighting, AV, and working with engineers
• Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessments
• Established track record of diary management and rota systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT packages
• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills
