Assistant Technical Designer

Responsibilities

• Select block templates and set up appropriate Points of Measure (POMs)
• Measure samples with high accuracy and enter data into spec templates
• Prepare samples in the fit room and take notes during fit sessions
• Document fit sessions with photos and initial fit comments
• Assist with processing final fit comments and troubleshooting alterations
• Manage sample returns, filing, and monthly purge processes
• Measure TOP samples to confirm spec compliance and approve in NetSuite

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in Technical Design
• Degree in Fashion specializing in Technical Design
• Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office
• Ability to use a tape measure and perform math with decimals and fractions
• Knowledge of knit and woven fabrics
• Exposure to pattern-making, sewing, and fittings
• Ability to lift up to thirty pounds
• Fluency in English with technical fashion vernacular

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator
