About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of courses at all levels, including Musical Theater Performance, Vocal Performance, Music Fundamentals, Musical Theater Audition, and History of Musical Theater.
- Serve as an academic and creative advisor to students, guiding them toward professional-quality work and emerging best practices.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service and committee work.
- Potentially serve as a stage director, music director, or associate music director for departmental productions.
Requirements
- MFA or other relevant master’s degree.
- Demonstrated professional experience in musical theater, teaching, and creative activity.
- Extensive knowledge of the musical theater repertoire.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence and a commitment to developing curriculum that responds to the evolving needs of the profession.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty across various programs, including Acting, Theater Design and Technology, and Stage Management.
