Assistant Teaching Professor, Clinical Coordinator Nursing

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical rotations for the undergraduate nursing program
• Act as the primary liaison for clinical sites and facilities, including formulating necessary clinical contracts
• Oversee adjunct clinical faculty assignments, orientations, and assessments
• Evaluate student readiness for clinical rotations, including training and immunization compliance
• Teach undergraduate nursing courses with a focus on clinical rotations
• Contribute to curricular assessment, development, and active learning discussions
• Supervise students in clinical settings and provide academic advising
• Maintain proper course-related records and assess student coursework

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
• Two years of experience in clinical supervision of nursing students at the undergraduate and/or graduate level

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or evidence of a plan to pursue a doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field
• Two years of teaching experience in nursing at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
• Evidence of professional self-development through continuing education, advanced study, or scholarly pursuit
