Assistant Teaching Professor – Accounting

Responsibilities

• Teach a seven-course annual load across undergraduate and graduate levels
• Develop and deliver CPA-relevant content that links accounting theory, analytics, and professional practice
• Collaborate with faculty to innovate the accounting curriculum
• Engage in student mentoring and advising
• Participate in departmental and school service to support the Whitman School mission

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field
• Evidence of strong teaching effectiveness in upper-level accounting courses
• A passion for teaching and student success

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related discipline
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar
• Relevant professional or industry experience linking technology and accounting practice
