Responsibilities

• Support a safe, predictable classroom culture
• Build positive relationships with students
• Lead and support literacy and math small group instruction
• Prepare materials and help run Pursuits, Primer’s interdisciplinary curriculum
• Notice student needs and communicate quickly
• Support the lead teacher by helping keep the classroom safe, orderly, and clean
• Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and transitions
• Follow safety protocols and support coverage needs
• Communicate clearly and follow through on tasks

Requirements

• 1 or more years of experience working with children
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to report to work in person
• Warm, calm presence with children
• Reliable, consistent, and proactive nature
• Comfortable assisting with instruction
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
