Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the classroom curriculum and adapting to unique child needs
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and clean environment for exploration and play
• Support development through structured activities and positive behavior guidance
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher on classroom routines and parent communication
• Monitor and report children's progress and concerns to the Lead Teacher
• Follow all health, safety, and state licensing protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to meet state licensing requirements for assistant teachers
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
• Physical ability to sit on the floor, bend, lift up to 30–40 pounds, and participate in activities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, school, or youth program settings
