Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Produce quality Common Core aligned lesson plans that accommodate all learning styles
• Analyze and review student assessment data to drive curricular and pedagogical choices
• Maximize learning time through effective classroom management
• Provide an inviting and exciting learning environment using varied instructional techniques
• Collaborate with faculty and instructional leaders to ensure curricular coherence
• Motivate a diverse group of students and maintain high academic standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a diverse school environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
• Experience in an urban school setting
• NYS certification or currently working towards certification
