About the role

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in providing meaningful educational experiences and a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Provide daily interaction and supervision to children in care to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Help maintain open communication with parents regarding child progress and program activities.
Assist in developing weekly lesson plans and implementing instructional programs.
Support the administration of assessments and the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for children with special needs.
Maintain accurate documentation for children and families, including administrative reports.
Assist with mealtime services and, when required, the administration of medication under health department direction.
Participate in parent meetings, home visits, and training workshops as assigned.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish (Bilingual).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Possession of an automobile and current liability insurance for work-related travel.
Ability to interact with the public in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
