Assistant Supervisor, ICM

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating and monitoring animal husbandry and sanitation duties to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Support training for new hires and document progress for management review
• Document and communicate performance concerns to management and HR
• Review employee timesheets for biweekly payroll processing accuracy
• Provide guidance to facility users on husbandry techniques and operational procedures
• Participate in required weekend supervisory rotations

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience working in a laboratory animal facility
• Training and experience in laboratory animal work
• Understanding of biohazard containment and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• AALAS certification (ALAT, LAT, or LATG)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
